The cheapest call you can make
A dead battery is the single most common roadside call we get, and it is the one that most often ends with the driver simply driving away. No tow, no storage, no second trip. Wimberley Towing keeps roadside technicians on the team specifically so a jump start does not turn into a wrecker call it never needed to be.
When a jump start actually fixes it
If you left lights on, left a door ajar, or the car sat for a fortnight, the battery is flat rather than dead and a jump will get you moving. Drive it for twenty minutes afterwards so the alternator can put something back, and get the battery tested soon.
If it turns over slowly, dies again within minutes, or the car started fine yesterday and is completely dead today, the battery may be at the end of its life or the alternator may not be charging. A jump will still get you off the shoulder, but we will tell you honestly on scene that it is likely to happen again.
When it is not the battery
A click and nothing else can be a starter. Dash lights but no crank can be a dozen things. If the jump does not take, the same truck can put the car on a deck, so you are not making a second call to a second company. That is flatbed towing.
Where we do this
Driveways, car parks, school pickups, the tasting trail lots out on Fitzhugh Road, and the shoulder of I-35. Call (512) 375-1215 and tell dispatch whether you are somewhere safe. It changes how fast we come.
