We are hiring drivers and roadside technicians
Wimberley Towing runs six flatbed trucks out of three yards, in Wimberley, Kyle, and Blanco. We hire tow truck drivers and roadside technicians, and we train the right people rather than only taking the ones who already have every certification.
This is not an easy job. You will be out at two in the morning, in the rain, on a shoulder, with traffic going past faster than it should. What we can tell you is that we are family owned, the owners still work, and we do not treat drivers as disposable.
The people who do well here
A clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check are the baseline. Beyond that, what actually matters is temperament. Our customers call us on a bad day, often frightened, sometimes angry, usually stranded. The drivers who do well here are calm, and they treat people the way they would want their own family treated on the side of a road.
WreckMaster certification is a plus and we will help you get it if you do not have it. Heavy duty experience is a plus. Knowing the Hill Country roads is a real plus.

Do I need a CDL?
Not for light and medium duty work. A CDL is required for heavy duty, and if you are the right person without one, we would rather talk about getting you there than turn you away.
Do I need to already be WreckMaster certified?
No. Our drivers are WreckMaster certified, and if you are not yet, we will help you get there. Attitude and a clean record come first.
